Frequently Asked Questions

1.       What is NDRIN?

a.       NDRIN, or North Dakota Recorders Information Network is an organization of select North Dakota Counties that have grouped together in order to send their real estate records to one central location for internet hosting, backup and archiving.

2.       How do I access NDRIN?

a.       You may access NDRIN through the internet with the address of “www.ndrin.com”. You will to need register with NDRIN in order to access documents on ndrin.com.

3.       What specific documents are available on ndrin.com?

a.       The documents available on ndrin.com typically include but not limited to the following.

                                                               i.      Real Estate Records

                                                             ii.      Mineral Leases, Rights and Deeds (Including Oil and Gas)

                                                            iii.      Land Plats

                                                           iv.      Corner Records

4.       How do I register with NDRIN?

a.       You may register on NDRIN through the NDRIN website at www.ndrin.com or by using this link.

5.       What does NDRIN cost?

a.       To become a registered user, there is a $25 charge which gives you access to NDRIN for 30-days from the date of purchase. Once registered, the charges are re-occurring and the subscription will need to be cancelled by you if you do not wish to be charged again. There is also a $1 per page cost if you choose to print documents from ndrin.com, you may preview an unlimited number of documents at no charge.

6.       How do I pay for NDRIN registration and printing?

a.       Major credit and debit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express are accepted . Checks and other forms of payment are not accepted and there are no plans to include other forms of payment.

7.       Which counties have documents available on ndrin.com?

a.       All North Dakota Counties are members of NDRIN. Use this link to access the County information page.

8.       I need to access documents from a County that isn’t a member of NDRIN, how do I do this?

a.       All ND counties are members of NDRIN. If you are looking for a document not on NDRIN, use this link for County Recorder Office contact information.

9.       I frequently need to access documents from a County that is not member of NDRIN, will they be soon?

a.      All ND counties are members of NDRIN.

10.   How often are NDRIN records updated?

a.       NDRIN is updated every Monday through Friday before 12pm CST excluding holidays.

11.   How far back are documents available on ndrin.com ?

a.       Document availability varies from county to county. Contact that County's Recorder Office for document availability, use this link for County Recorder Contact Information.

12.   The County I am looking at hasn’t put any new documents on ndrin.com for quite some time, this doesn’t seem right.

a.       Email support@ndrin.com or call 701-364-1280.

13.   I forgot my password and/or username, how do I recover it?

a.       You may retrieve a new password or your username by using this link.

14.   May I have more than one user per account?

a.       No. The standard is one user per account. Each account is $25 for 30-days of access along with a fee of $1 per-page printed. Each account requires a unique email address.

15.    I cannot find the document(s) I’m looking for on ndrin.com, yet I know it exists. What should I do?

a.       Due to the variety of Counties, not all Counties use the same search technique. Check the County Information page to see if they use any custom search technique. Use this link for a listing of County search techniques. If you still unable to locate documents, email support@ndrin.com or call 701-364-1280.

16.   I found a document on ndrin.com that I believe is erroneous.

a.       Contact the corresponding County Recorder Office, use this link for a listing of County Recorder Office Contact Information.

17.   I am having difficulty searching for documents on ndrin.com.

a.       See the user manual on searching, use this link.

b.      Some Counties employ a custom search technique. Check the County Information page to see if they use any custom search technique. If you are still unable to locate documents, email support@ndrin.com or call 701-364-1280. Use this link for the County Information Page.

18.   May I preview a document before it’s printed?

a.       Yes, you are able to preview an unlimited amount of documents that are available on ndrin.com. If you are unsure of how to do this, use this link.

19.   I’m downloading a very large document from ndrin.com, how long should this take?

a.       On a typical broadband connection, the download should take no more than 20 minutes.

20.   I read the user manual on how to preview documents on ndrin.com, but I am still unable to do so.

a.       In order to correctly use ndrin.com the computer you are using is required to have the following programs installed with a version no less than the one listed. Use the following links for more product information and product download.

                                                               i.      Adobe Reader X (Version 10.0)

21.   I have these programs installed to view documents, along with a version the same or greater than one listed. How do I resolve this?

a.       Contact your local IT Department or an IT Service Provider.

22.   Are internet browsers such as Firefox or Chrome supported by ndrin.com?

a.       No, at this time there are no plans to support these browsers.

23.   Why am I charged to print to my own printer?

a.       Under N.D.C.C. § 11-18-05(3) a county recorder may charge for non-certified copies of recorded documents up to one dollar per page. For more information use this link.

24.   Are Wills available on ndrin.com?

a.       Wills are confidential documents that are not, and will not be available on ndrin.com.

25.   The ndrin.com webpage is not being displayed correctly, how may I resolve this?

31.   What are NDRIN Support hours?

a.       NDRIN support is available every Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM CST excluding holidays.

32.   I have a concern about billing, whom do I contact?

33.   I wish to cancel my subscription to ndrin.com, how do I do this?

a.       After logging onto your account go to manage subscription on the navigation bar and click on cancel subscription. Your account will remain active until your renewal date.

34.   I'm uncomfortable sending my credit/debit card information over the internet, are there alternative payment options available?

 

a.   No. NDRIN only accepts major debit or credit cards and there no alternative forms of payment. NDRIN staff are not allowed to take credit or debit card information over the phone or any alternative forms of payment.
